One of the super cool things about being a Sweat Pink Ambassador is that I sometimes get to review products. And I had the chance to review Freekeh Foods! While I was provided product for review, my opinion (as always) is mine and it's honest. So, now that I talked about that, can we revisit the name Freekeh for a minute? I LOVE Missy Elliott so every time I see or hear the word Freekeh (which was basically when I used the product, thought about potential side dishes, and did this review), I think of this...
So the next morning, at o'dark thirty, I was off to the airport. I warmed up and carried my breakfast cereal with me, which was inspired by a Warm Breakfast Cereal recipe I found on the Freekeh-Foods website. Since I actually already had some cooked up from the prior night's dinner, I added a splash of coconut milk to make it creamier (it might have been a couple of splashes to make it to a consistency I liked). I also roasted up some raw cashews in just a little bit of coconut oil, and sliced up some strawberries. I fixed it the night before and then warmed it up the morning before heading out to the airport.
I got an extra cup when I got my coffee from Dunkin Donuts at BWI and breakfast is served and I got my freekeh on at the airport! It was tasty and hearty and just what I needed. Hollah!
So, do you want to try some? I can giveaway one package of your choice of either Original, Rosemary Sage, or Tamari. The giveaway is up until Friday, so enter so you too can get your freekeh on...hollah!
