I decided to give it a try at work one day. I added some ice and water to the greens and thought, "Oh my, this looks thick. I'm probably not going to like it." You can see where this is going right? I think I took my first sip and said, "Ohhh, minty!" I used only a half of a single serving packet with about 16 ounces of water. And while Joyce will say that I can't count it as water, it's actually kept me hydrated (I have this awful habit of not drinking enough...and that's a whole other blog post that I can write). I put a half of a packet in and keep filling my cup with water until I've lost the flavor of it (then I add the second half and repeat).
Then I ran out of my sample I got from my swag bag and a little Basic Green angel sent me more in the mail. Even though I packed it in my bag for work, I didn't drink it for a few days (I don't know why). So I spent some time away from the product. I told myself I was going to drink it today, even if it killed me (errrr...maybe not the best phrase to use there). After a few minutes I remembered how much I liked it. It's weird because when I drink it, I feel like I want to do better with my nutrition (something I struggle with). I think it's because I know I'm doing something good, so I want to keep it up. Or maybe it's that I look at people Iike Joyce and others, like bikini competitors, and think, this is part of their routine and I should make it part of mine, since I want to elevate and challenge myself this year. At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter, I suppose. It's healthy and I like the taste.
